About Us At Aidencare

The mission of Aidencare is to provide everyone with the tools for AI assisted diagnosis of dental images whether they are from X-Rays or regular photographic images. The company was founded on the notion that everybody in the world should have access to the best clinical opinion in Dentistry. With the advances of internet, Artificial Intelligence and big data this vision can become reality. The company was founded by Dr. Oscar Sum who works in and manages dental clinics across Shanghai.

Dr. Oscar Sum graduated from one of the world’s top dental programs at King’s College London before moving to Shanghai to work in the private sector & becoming the Dental Director of Global Healthcare China. He is a pioneer in AI dental care having gained a MSc in the field of Dental AI and creating his own company Aidencare. He is also currently completing his MClinDent in Prosthodontics at King's College London.

Dr. Sum is active in the Shanghai Rotary Club & a regular speaker in International schools & the International Doctor's Forum. He continues to collaborate with charity organisations to improve oral hygiene in the local community. Having been born and raised in London from a Hong Kong heritage, Dr. Sum is capable of communicating in English, Cantonese & Mandarin fluently.
